Gulmarg Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Srinagar – Gulmarg Arrival + Local Views

Morning:

Drive from Srinagar to Gulmarg (Approx. 2–2.5 hours / 50 km).

Optional stop at Tangmarg for tea/snacks and warm clothes rental (especially in winter).

Last 15 km is scenic: pine forests, meadows, and snowfields in winter.

Midday:

Check-in at hotel/resort.

Leisure walk around Gulmarg town:

St. Mary’s Church (British-era church with beautiful stained glass).

Gulmarg Golf Course (one of the highest in the world).

Maharani Temple on the hilltop.

Evening:

Local café visit or bonfire at your hotel (optional).

Relax in cozy rooms with heating (winter) or balcony views (summer).

Day 2

Gondola + Adventure Day

Morning to Afternoon:

Take Gondola to Phase 1 & 2.

Enjoy snow activities at Apharwat Peak (Phase 2), especially from Dec to March.

Optional: Short trek to Alpather Lake (frozen till June; requires stamina).

Alternative Summer Option:

Hike or pony ride to Khilanmarg, a high-altitude meadow with panoramic views.

Day 3

Golf / Walk + Return to Srinagar

Morning:

Play a round of golf at Gulmarg Golf Course (summer only).
